Celebrating Britain's Finest
2006 was a very successful year for Birchgrove Eggs. As well as increasing our sales and distribution, we received two significant awards.
Firstly, we were awarded the Ceredigion Business Awards 2006 - Food Producer of the Year. This was in recognition of the good work and generosity that Birchgrove Eggs has contributed to the local area in the past.
Secondly, we achieved the prize of "Poultry Farmer of the Year" sponsored by Poultry World in the Farmers Weekly Awards 2006 held at Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on 30th November 2006.
The awards cover all areas of agriculture and aim to recognise those people who are showing courage, vision, technical and business excellence in their farming businesses. We are honoured to be given this award and thank our customers and staff for their support in helping make us so successful.

The judges were impressed by the marketing and management of the company and with the huge amount of commitment, time and energy given to develop a successful regional product. Birchgrove Eggs pride themselves on the commitment to their hen's welfare and to their achievement of minimising food miles. (Food miles are the measure of the distance a food travels from field to plate. Find out more here)
Things that make Birchgrove Eggs a winner:

Our plans for the future include price promotions, partnership marketing, a bi-monthly newsletter, customer service telesales, LANTRA free-range egg production training days and a range of recipe books.
